Flow through a Venturi Tube
A Venturi Tube is a converging-diverging nozzle (Fig. 3.27)
placed in a pipe. The principle of this was demonstrated by
Giovanni Battista
Venturi(1746-1822) in 1797. It was only later in 1887 that it was
employed for flow measurement by Herschel. The mass flow rate is
